Cheryl has worked in gift planning for the LCMS-North Wisconsin District as the Administrative Assistant/Office Manager since 1988.
She can answer most questions that donors have, while going above and beyond to help complete their personal gift plan. She processes the gift plans to ensure
both the family and ministry get precisely what the donor wishes. She also prepares paperwork for donor meetings, performs donor follow-up and any other
administrative duties as they arise.
Prior to joining the LCMS, she worked at the Midelfort Clinic in Eau Claire, WI in the insurance department. Then with her husband, Ron, at their furniture
store in Fall Creek, WI. When Ron transitioned from Keller Furniture, Cheryl transferred as well.
Cheryl says her favorite thing about working in gift planning is the relationships she gets to build with people. "The people you meet or talk to on the phone,
you get to know them over the years. You get to know the congregation members as friends – they’re not just someone you meet once and forget."
Cheryl also understands how important family is. She and Ron have three grown daughters who are all married, gainfully employed and have families of their own.
They have also been blessed with 10 grandchildren: Nick 17, Nicole 16, Derek 14, Kaitlin 12, Spencer 12, Christopher 11, Zach (deceased), Jeff 5, Megan 3 and Steve
