Ron, CFRE, CDP, is a Senior Gift Planning Counselor at Gift Planning Services, LLC and through the North Wisconsin District. He links Christians with giving opportunities to support ministries. Ron recently retired from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Foundation after serving the Foundation for 20 years. Prior to joining the Foundation, he owned and operated Keller Furniture in Fall Creek, WI. He has developed and grown a system that encourages Gift Planners and potential donor’s professional advisors, including: Insurance Professionals, CPA’s/Accountants, Investment Advisors and Attorneys to work together for the good of the client. Ron spends most of his time working with referrals from these professionals in the estate planning market.
Zero Estate Tax Planning and gifting to ministry are Ron’s main focus. When someone asks Ron to briefly" explain what he does, he says, "I show people how to leave more for their family, how to remember Ministry and how to avoid paying any unnecessary taxes." Ron truly believes that "next to introducing a person to Jesus Christ, the most important thing we can do is to introduce someone to the Joy of Giving!"
Ron holds the CFRE – Certified Fund Raising Executive designation. Ron also holds the designation of CDP – Certified Development Professional. (The CDP designation has now been changed to CDE – Certified Development Executive.)
Ron loves working everyday in the same office as his wife Cheryl and one of his daughters – Jenny. He feels very fortunate for his family. He and Cheryl have three grown daughters who are all married, gainfully employed and have families of their own. They have also been blessed with 10 grandchildren: Nick 17, Nicole 16, Derek 14, Kaitlin 13, Spencer 13, Christopher 11, Zach (deceased), Jeff 5, Megan 3 and Steve 1.
